  • Care Management & Case Coordination:
    Our experienced care managers help navigate the challenges of re-entry. From creating personalized action plans to connecting you with key resources, we ensure you have a roadmap to success and the support you need to stay on track.

  • Medical and Mental Health Support:
    We understand the importance of physical and mental well-being. Our team assists in setting up medical appointments, ensuring you have access to necessary medications, and connecting you with mental health professionals to support your emotional recovery.

  • Employment Services & Skills Training:
    Gaining meaningful employment is crucial for long-term success. We provide job readiness training, help with resume building, interview preparation, and job placement services to give you the tools to enter (or re-enter) the workforce with confidence.

    Navigating the legal complexities of re-entry can be daunting. Our legal support team can help with expungement processes, legal advice, and advocacy services to ensure you understand and can address any outstanding legal matters.

Heather Newhart - Founder / Chief Executive Officer

Heather Newhart's unique approach with clients is built off her foundation of academic knowledge and years of experience, effectively overcoming walls and barriers to understand the person and hear their story to assist them on their path.

Heather Newhart's humanitarian involvement can be described as a long and dedicated career in the fields of drug counseling, harm reduction, and homeless encampment specialization. Throughout these years, Heather has played a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse, implementing harm reduction strategies to minimize the negative consequences of drug use, and providing specialized assistance to homeless communities.

Moreover, Heather works closely with communities and the city to combat the opioid epidemic, striving to find tangible solutions. Her extensive experience and expertise have allowed her to make a significant impact on the lives of those she has worked with, offering guidance, support, and a compassionate approach to help individuals overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Jade - Chief Operating Officer 

Jade is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in advocacy, community engagement, and harm reduction. As the Director of Lived Experience, she has played a pivotal role in connecting service providers with the communities they serve, developing programs that amplify the voices of individuals impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.

 

Jade’s work is grounded in empathy and respect for personal narratives, ensuring that the insights of those directly affected inform policies and practices within care systems. Her commitment to a compassionate approach has transformed the recovery landscape, prioritizing individual experiences and needs.

 

In her capacity as a harm reduction specialist, Jade has implemented innovative strategies, successfully reduced overdose rates in her community. Her evidence-based initiatives emphasize safety and well-being, challenging punitive measures and stigma associated with substance use.

 

A sought-after speaker and trainer, Jade shares her expertise at conferences and workshops, advocating for a holistic healthcare approach that integrates mental health support and social services. Kristen Brians - Chief Financial Officer

Child Development Specialist and Mental Health Advocate.

Kristen Brians is a dedicated and experienced professional with over 13 years of experience in early childhood education and family care. She is the founder and former operator of a successful large in-home family child care program, where she honed her skills in child development and family support.

Kristen's educational background includes a robust foundation in child development, with degrees in Child Development and Site Supervisor, complemented by Preschool Teaching Credentials. Her commitment to enhancing community support and resources led her to further her education in the fields of addiction and mental health. Kristen holds an AODS (Alcohol and Other Drug Studies) Degree and a Mental Health Worker Certification, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of mental health challenges and interventions.

Throughout her career, Kristen has been driven by a passion for educating families and increasing access to essential resources. Her extensive background in child care, combined with her recent qualifications, allows her to offer a holistic approach to supporting both children and their families in various capacities.

Mushy is an accomplished entrepreneur with a degree in Business and a deep passion for helping displaced adults affected by addiction and mental illness. With a strong foundation in business principles, he has channeled his expertise into creating impactful solutions for those facing some of society's most challenging issues.

Mushy’s work is focused on bridging critical gaps in the social service sector, with a particular emphasis on improving access to resources and care for individuals battling addiction and mental health disorders. His entrepreneurial mindset has enabled him to develop and scale innovative programs that address the complex needs of this underserved population.

Driven by a genuine desire to make a difference, Mushy combines his business acumen with a deep commitment to social impact. Over the years, he has earned recognition as a compassionate leader and advocate, dedicated to fostering systemic change and providing sustainable, accessible support to those in need. Driven by a deep sense of empathy and a passion for social justice, Holly has dedicated her efforts to creating pathways of hope and opportunity for all. She believes in the power of community and works to build supportive networks that empower individuals to overcome challenges and achieve lasting change. Her approach is centered on providing not just resources, but also a sense of dignity and respect to every person she serves.

Joseph McCombs - Director of Lived Experience

Joseph McCombs is a dedicated and passionate professional in the field of addiction counseling and harm reduction. Recognized for his comprehensive expertise as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Regional Director of Literature for Narcotics Anonymous (NA). With years of lived experience, Joseph has transformed his personal journey of recovery into a powerful tool for helping others navigate their own paths to healing. 

As a harm reduction specialist, Joseph advocates for practical strategies that prioritize the safety and dignity of individuals struggling with substance use. His approach emphasizes empathy, understanding, and respect for autonomy, making him a trusted resource within the communities he serves. Joseph's commitment to this cause is deeply rooted in his own experiences, allowing him to connect authentically with those. facing similar challenges.

In addition to his work in addiction counseling, Joseph is an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, bringing a unique perspective to his role. He understands the intersectionality of identity and addiction, and actively works to create inclusive spaces for all individuals seeking support. His advocacy extends beyond the individual. He is a vocal proponent for systemic changes that address the broader societal issues impacting marginalized populations.

Joseph's leadership in NA includes overseeing the distribution of literature that informs and inspires individuals in recovery. He is dedicated to ensuring that resources are accessible, relevant, and resonate with the diverse experiences of those in the program.
